| | | Who remembers 12" singles and the good old days or remixes? damn, i long for the days when most singles came out with amazing b-side s and remixes. no one does this anymore. such a shame.
props to depeche mode, the cure, new order, duran duran and all those 80's survivors who used to do this.

| | I was thinking about this the other day when someone asked about the
duran b-sides box set...sometimes 12 inches were great- sometimes just the artists allowing 10 minutes of self masterbation of a shitty song, either way twas always fun to listen the first time |

But it was the higher-charting version anywayz. I once bought a one buck second-hand 12" of The Perfect Kiss, and it turned out to have the fucking FAT BOYS in it. I died a little.

I remember having a "Pop Stars" book in the 1980s with the Fat Boys in it. I believe one of them died of heart problems. WAS ANYONE SHOCKED?

I have a bunch of 12", but nothing with any credibility. It's stuff like:
Blancmange, Living on the ceiling
Black Box, I don't know anybody else
Source feat. Candi Staton, You got the love
Echo and the Bunnymen, Bring on the dancing horses
Tracie, The house that Jack built
Princes, Say I'm your no1
ha.

I remember. I tried to buy as many as I could. My 12 inch single buying exploded in the middle 80's after I discovered the industrial/goth club scene. |
