Phair, Ryan Adams Enhance Minnie Driver Sophomore Set

Liz Phair and Ryan Adams are amongst the host of guests that will enhance actress/musician Minnie Driver's sophomore album "Sea Stories." The Zoe/Rounder set, a 12-track collection of songs penned by Driver, will be released sometime early this summer and is produced by Marc "Doc" Dauer.

Adams' backing band the Cardinals, Wallflowers/Foo Fighters' keyboardist Rami Jaffee, Alanis Morissette collaborator Zac Rae and mixer Jim Scott will also be heard on the forthcoming record.

"Sea Song" is the follow-up to Driver's 2004 debut "My Pocket," which has sold 35,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. That same year, she also portrayed Carlotta in the film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Phantom of the Opera."

The singer/songwriter is currently in the midst of planning an extensive summer outing.

i actually bought her first album, the single was nice, kind of too norah jones for my taste but nice, hopefully this one will be much better and from the sounds of it, it will

i liked the first album although i can only really say i only like one song, the title track but this news about liz makes me happy. thank god. i thought she's off the music thing.

I love Ryan, but he's a hopeless starfucker sometimes.
