The singer, who is currently touring the LP in the US, said she is in two minds over whether to stay in the States or head home and write a second album.
She wrote on her MySpace blog: "Life is weird at the moment. Is it really important to break America? If it is I have to write my life off for the next 9 months, playing the same gig answering the same questions to different journalists and such. It's either that or I could go home, sit on my boyfriend's sofa for a bit, then write a new album. What d'you reckon?"
Allen went on: "As much as I love driving across America and doing the same thing every night, I'm bored slightly. It's the songs. Since January I've toured Japan, New Zealand and Australia, I've done a European tour, gone to Paris Fashion Week, done a UK tour and now I'm on a US tour which goes on until May. I don't know what to do."
The singer's debut album recently went into the top 20 of the Billboard chart.

She just comes off really ignorant to me. Her record is pretty decent, though. |

| | | One of my friends was a year or two below her at school and hates her with a passion. I'm not sure if she did something personal to offend him, it could just be that he's an angry person, but there's some real resentment there. I quite liked a few of her songs last summer but hearing them now, they feel really dated. It could be because they're overplayed by shitty DJs, or because it's winter, or because I only liked them because I'd heard them so many times and the lack of hearing them has made me realise how bad they are. She should write some new songs on tour, play some covers, have fun; basically make America hate her for not playing her album tracks. |

the album in the U.S. just came out. and there are TONS of bands that have toured much more rigorous than her and they stayed with it and never bailed out. this isn't just a hard thing for her. and now especially, playing live is very important and helps get your name out there. you shouldn't be a singer if you can't stick with it  | |
