i absolutely positively adore courtneys music.the 3 official full length hole albums are prolly my 3 fave albums ever and certainly hold their own with revolver,white album,rubber soul,and sgt peppers.i am also quite fond of americas sweetheart and all of its jagged roughness around the edges almost masterpiece.i also love the hodgepodge hand grenade disc and her upcoming disc is on the top of my must buy gotsa have albums list.i would love to know the tentative release schedule for the album,single etc?i know it has yet to be mixed atleast from what i heard last and lastly heard release for late spring which i find doubtful with the push and promotion for it if its to be done properly and not just last minute slopped together go with the flow which i know it wont be.this album is going to be a tad bit harder to find the traditional music listener then even say americas sweetheart for in the past 3 years numerous alternative stations have ceased operations and mainstream rock radio -think metallica type channels i highly doubt will play courtney for they never did before.now that hfs has died here for a 2nd time and this time isnt gonna be ressurected the only channel in baltimore that will play it is wtmd towson university radio.hopefully pop and adult contemporary radio will take a chance.she still has her core base for the most part and i am sure if she tours it and uses the internet and people give it and her a chance it will do super great.hopefully by the time it arrives no more modern rock stations will get the ax.of the new songs i really love sunset marquis,and never go hungry again is courtney at her finest in her glory at the summit on top of the world at the peak.everything i have heard says an instant classic.i dont think i will be dissapointed in the slightest but rather blown away.the songs so far make a statement like ltt if the rest of the songs are nearly as good it will at the very least be almost as good as ltt which is like the best album ever its on the cusp of surpassing it and it should silence the critics and solidify her legend.it appears to be a soul searching heart moving thrillride.

I am all for this thread staying on track (for once!) but I am curious as to the rules about Courtney discussion outside of this thread - is it at all possible without getting removed to "gossip" or R'n'R?
Will any discussion of her acting, media pronouncements, past life, fashion, relationships, appearance etc. etc. be moved to one or the other? How about Hole?
As a long-time Courtney-tard I think I can (and would like to) discuss a fair bit about her other than her solo albums (this thread, it would seem) and press releases. And I don't personally see these things as, of themselves, necessarily rants'n'raves-worthy. What I'm asking is how able are we to start our own discussions about something to do with Courtney without them automatically being sucked into the sewer?

I would imagine it's ok to discuss Hole in this thread as well, after all that is part of Courtney's music also.

Well fair enough. Just the music it is. I was just curious if it was a present-centric music thread on top of everything else. I really do need to get my speakers for my computer so I can actually listen to some stuff and get a hint of what I'm in for.
