| | | Your Go-To "i'm drunk and i gosta sing righgt NOW!" songs oh you and i both know you do it. you get SUPER trashed, and then decide there would be no possible better way to spend your time then to sing or scraem lyrics t oa really important song.
and i don't necessarily mean kareoke. i mean the in the back seat of your ride's car, while walking on public streets, in the bar, at home, etc.
which ones do you pick?
why/what's the signifigance? |

| | | mine is: Allman Brothers Band -- Melissa (sweet melissa)
everyfucking time. EVYERTIME. i gotta belt it out, and pray there isn't a guitar aroudn, becaus ei'll do that too. and i think it's because once when i wasl ike 18 i dropped e with some giflriends, chased it with beer, and then went outside to smoke (cigarettes? why, we have pot! lets do both, was our logic) -- and then i crawled into her jam-room (she has a studio called the 'jam room' in her backyard, i real like professional one) and we layed on he floor for i think atleast 2 hours listening to this song.. and i all i remember was thinking "THIS IS THE GREATEST SONG EVER".. and i've never changed my mind. everytime i haer it, i remember how kickass it is. |

| | I have the tendency to sing 'Levon' by Elton John every now and then. The part where his voice squeaks ('guess I'd better Le-Von'). Annoyance to those around me to no end. |

| | | the only time I have ever done that was with the song "American Pie" which I DETEST. I knew all the words though because it used to be played frequently where I worked. It was like nails on a chalkboard for me every time.
FYI, I'm a HORRIBLE singer so even when I get really drunk, I know better than to sing. But on this occasion I was about-to-throw-up-drunk and it was in a bar with friends/coworkers so the damage done by my singing was minimized.
DID YOU WRITE THE BOOK OF LOVE AND DO YOU HAVE FAITH IN GOD ABOVE?

| | | For some reason I used to spin "Brighten the Corners" by Pavement a lot when I used to get very fucked up (I no longer drink). I'm sure friends heard a lot of shitty attempts at me trying to sing "Shady Lane."

| | | oh this is very mood determinate.
The Ramones rates very high...wanting to be sedated probably a good idea in my drunken state to be honest.
Then there's the wrenching sadness of my drunken rendition of Michael Bolton's How am I Supposed to Live Without You...rivals many American Idol outtakes....Willian Hung has nothing on me.
And strangely, Madonna's Like a Virgin and Morissettes - Ironic.
huh. that's irony in itself lol |

| | | There are a number, for different occasions. When I'm really wasted and stumbling home in the rain, it often seems the moment for a mangled attempt at Violet. Just for obviousness' sake. And when I can't remember the lyrics I just know I've had a wee bit much.
Other popularly mangled efforts (best appreciated when nobody else is around, I can be quite the songbird, and go red for hours if caught):
Ice Ice Baby (I know all teh wordz, and like to show off!)
Come on Eileen (ditto)
Beetlebum
Many Smiths songs, esp. Girlfriend in a Coma (b/c its easy)
Suedehead
Photograph (Def Leppard)
Live Forever
Do you remember the first time
You don't love me (no, no, no)
Walking on thin ice
et fucking cetera
