MuchMusic VJ Recovering From Brain Surgery

MuchMusic VJ Recovering From Brain Surgery
Monday February 19, 2007 @ 06:00 PM

Sarah Taylor
Sarah Taylor — the host of MuchMusic shows MuchOnDemand, MuchTopTens and MuchNews — underwent
emergency surgery last Thursday to relieve pressure on her brain.

After unexpectedly falling ill on Wednesday evening, Taylor was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital where doctors
performed the necessary life-saving operation. The VJ was on assignment covering the National Basketball Association's
all-star week festivities when she was derailed by her sudden illness. Tests revealed that she suffered a fractured skull,
but it's not yet clear when it occurred. She's currently in stable condition in the intensive care unit and has been put in
an induced coma to help aid in the recovery process.

Family members and Much representatives are at her bedside, and CHUM Music And Youth Services VP David Kines
posted an online statement expressing that "the thoughts and best wishes of the entire MuchMusic and CHUM family
are with Sarah and her family."

Much staff discovered the 5'11'' Hamilton native when she was an audience member for MuchOnDemand three years ago.
She was asked to return for an on-camera test and, a few weeks later, joined the nation's music station.
