L7 & Prodigdy

As we all know, Prodidgy made a cover of " Fuel my fire" originally made the lovely ladies of L7. I was listening to it just now and thought I heard Donita in the background. It`s possible that I was wrong, and that it just was the Prodidgy singer, but maybe they used her voice just for fun or something?

Does anyone know?

I think she actually sang on it. I remember back in the day reading something about it somewhere. Maybe it was in the liner notes from Fattie-McFattie of the land.

The vocal credits are given to Keith Flint and Saffron (Republica) in the liner notes. I don't know that Saffron could really imitate her well.

The song was written by Sparks and the guys from the Cosmic Psychos and was kinda-sorta modeled after a Cosmic Psychos song called "Lost Cause." L7 covered Lost Cause live a number of times. /random

I just listened to the track again, and I actually think that might be Saffron singing during the chorus. All the vocals have obviously been dicked with a lot, and I'm pretty sure The Prodigy would have credited a sample explicitly in their liner notes.

I believe they just sampled her vocals, which would explain why she wasn't credited for it. Anywho, it's the only song Donita will ever dance to apparently.

I thought that too, but if you really listen to the song, it does not really sound like Donita Sparks. I think it is Saffron singing the chorus and Keith Flint singing the rest of the song. Even in the section where they list the songs that contain portions of other songs, L7 is not credited at all. I'm pretty sure they would have credited them in that way if they had used a sample.
