I usually listen to Brian Eno when I go to bed. Or Childs or My Bloody Valentine.
Don't get through Ambient 1: Music For Airports before I fall asleep.

It affects how well I sleep, too, I find. If it goes on long enough, the ambience, the nit really makes me feel great when I wake up.

I just got a docker/player for my iPod, and so I've been setting it to shuffle every night when I sleep. I'm not really a vivid dreamer, per say, but I've been having some CRAZY dreams over the last week.

No specific music, really....everything from Aphex Twin to Jefferson Airplane to X....which would explain a bit of the craziness, I guess.
