Anyways, Intervention is a solid favourite, but I love it all. They're all fantastic songs. Arcade Fire is one of the only bands capable of giving me a profound rush.
I didn't like it quite as much as funeral, but I think it's a excellent album.

Intervention is also my favourite.

does anyone else hear Blondie-Dreaming when they listen to the beginning of Black Wave-Bad Vibration?

I do like this album. I listened to it in my friend's car on our way back from a little daytrip. I have a lot of associations between this band and cars. I don't know if I like it less or more than Funeral. Mostly, I am excited to have new songs from them. The thing that makes me a little suspicious about this album is that I hear a lot of other songs within their songs. Like, on track 4 I can distinctly hear Ruby Tuesday. Blatant rip off...or my mind playing tricks on me?

The fresh heartbreak was, in a sense, like being in a foreign country; everything seemed alien, brilliant and glinting. It was as if I’d been flayed, so that even the air hurt. When you’re that unhappy, any glimmer of beauty or consolation feels like running into an old friend abroad, or seeing mountaintops through smog. Maybe we mistakenly think we want “happiness,” which we tend to picture in very vague, soft-focus terms, when what we really crave is the harder-edged intensity of experience.
