I think this question is kind of stupid really. But im interested in everyone's opinion. I think both are as equally talented as each other. Carl's new band Dirty Pretty things are amazing, I'm really enjoying them at the moment. But I don't think that having a more produced album makes carl more talented.. 'Down in Albion' was raw, its fascinating to listen too because its so different to what bands usually put out these days. I also feel that just because pete is destroying his life by herion, crack and so on, doesnt mean he doesnt have the talent. I'd say he just isnt a dedicated musician, where as carl puts all his energy into making his music sounds perfect. And as far as i'm concerned, it wouldnt be the Libertines with only one of the two putting the most effort/talent in. Because i think they both complimented each other with their differences and it worked really well.

What do you think? Am i talking crap?

Back to the topic: Pete, but it comes with complications.

"bang, bang you're dead." is rubbish anyway, I can't speak for the rest of the album but I'm not generally impressed by Carl.

Pete's all over the place, Down in Albion is a mess, but it occassionally showed brilliance. There are some lines in it that are very, very good.
