HIM to headline UK rock festival

Give It A Name returns for three big shows




HIM will be the star attraction at this spring's Give It A Name rock festival, Sound Generator can reveal.

Confirmed today, the Californian rockers will head one night, in London, for the hard rock event, which travels through London, Birmingham and Glasgow in late April.

Joining HIM on the bill will be The Used, playing second headliner. High energy slots will also come from Alexisonfire, Juliette and the Licks, From First To Last, Mindless Self Indulgence and Cry For Silence.

Both the other two shows in Birmingham and Glasgow will be headlined by Jimmy Eat World and Brand New.

Dates are Earls Court on April 27th, Birmingham NIA on April 28th and Glasgow SECC
A day later.

In other HIM news, the band's fifth album "Dark Light" has been confirmed at Gold status by their label, Warner Bros. HIM's frontman Ville Valo is also poised to release a duet of the Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra classic Summer Wine with Polish singer/actress Natalia Avelon.

The single features in the German film Das Wilde Liben (English title: Eight Miles High) and will be released on February 27th on Warner Bros. Records.
