Jarvis Cocker is set to go on his first major solo tour of the UK next month, with four club dates confirmed.

The former Pulp frontman, who releases his debut solo set "Jarvis" later this year, hits the road on February 16th with a hometown show at the Sheffield Plug before moving onto venues in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Dates are:

February 2007

16 - Sheffield Plug
17 - London Astoria (ShockWaves NME Awards show)
19 - Manchester Academy
20 - Glasgow ABC

Jarvis Cocker is to release his first solo album in the US this Spring, when the Rough Trade label make the well-received album available on April 3rd.
The album is simply titled Jarvis and the track listing is identical to that of the UK version.
