Luscious Jackson's Jill Cunniff Has Two February Releases Thursday January 04, 2007 @ 06:30 PM

Jill Cunniff Little has been heard from
Jill Cunniff since her band
Luscious Jackson broke up in 2000, but she can be heard on two albums next month and another two releases are expected later this year.
Luscious Jackson formed in New York City in 1991 and were closely associated with the
Beastie Boys, who
Kate Schellenbach was the original drummer for. They released three albums of hip-hop-infused, alternative pop-rock and enjoyed some commercial success before they disbanded. Capitol will package 19 tracks — including four previously unreleased remixes, "Love Is Here" from the A Life Less Ordinary soundtrack and a cover of
Serge Gainsbourg's "69 Anee Erotique" included on the Ain't Nuthin' But A She Thing benefit album — and release them on Feb. 20 in a collection titled Greatest Hits.
That same day, Streetwise Lullabies/The Militia Group will issue Cunniff's City Beach solo debut.
Cunniff is also recording material for a 10-inch vinyl release for film director
Cameron Crowe's Vinyl Film label, which has previously put out music by
Low and
Mark Kozelek. Cunniff, Schellenbach and third Luscious Jackson co-founder
Gabby Glaser have also been working on a children's album.
