Wu-Tang Clan To Reform
12.29.2006

The legendary rap collective the
Wu-Tang Clan have announced plans to reform five years after the release of their last album
Iron Flag.
The reformation follows
Wu-Tang’s honors at this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors ceremony, and the group being acquired by SRC Records. Speaking to
AllHipHop.com, SRC CEO Steve Rifkind explained "Not only did I want, as a fan, want one more Wu-Tang record, but RZA also wanted one more Wu-Tang record and then when we started discussing it a few months ago, the timing of it was just really perfect.”
Rifkind also cited the Clan’s recent solo successes as incentives for the group to return, and predicted that work would start on the new album in early 2007.
