I agree. Any band that only knows three power chords should NOT be given a record deal. And I'm sorry, but "lo-fi" style garage recordings went out with the invention of digital. They're not TRULY lo-fi.

"In digital audio lo-fi usually refers to an audio file with a lower bit rate, and thus a lower sound quality."

Which you cannot do for a CD because it needs to be HIGH QUALITY of 44.1/16 bit and lo-fi is about 8bit and 22k. Plus adding "artifacts" via a plug in really and truly defeats the purpose. Like adding generated tape hiss instead of recording to tape. Or adding vinyl clicks because it sounds "rad". It's not, it's lame. I loathe bands that sound like these guys.
AND I HATE THIS "REVIVAL" GENRE THAT INCLUDES BANDS LIKE JET AND THE VINES AND ALL THOSE OTHER CLONE BANDS WHERE YOU DUNNO WHO IS WHO WHEN THE RADIO PLAYS THEM.
