Scissor Sisters To Appear On Passions / Tour

Scissor Sisters Ignite ‘Passions’
2006-12-11 09:51:02.767,
Story by: Rebecca Raber
As if the Scissor Sisters needed any more camp cred, the fabulous New York disco glamsters announced last week that they would be featured on the February 8 episode of the NBC soap opera Passions. Conjured by young witch Endora—don’t you hate when that happens?—the disoriented band will play two songs in the show’s fictional town of Harmony: a private one in the witch’s living room and one at the Blue Note, Harmony’s hot nightspot.

“You may want to laugh at us for getting talked into doing a soap opera,” wrote lead Sister Jake Shears on his band’s website. “But the truth is that [singer] Ana [Matronic] has been lobbying for a chance to do the show since the band started.”

I started watching regularly when they had an oragutan as a main character. The show hasn't been the same since Precious left, but I'll check it out from time to time. It is absolutely horrendous.

it was. I only know because Spike mentioned it on Buffy. I didn't watch it then, but a friend told me to check it out. But when I flipped channels long after and saw a love montage with a man and an orangutan I said "this is America." They get rid of all the utterly ridiculous things eventually, but it's still pretty camp.
