GORMAN GILLIS: Father of Detroit musician

Gorman Gillis, father of the White Stripes lead vocalist Jack White, died Nov. 30. He was 79.
Mr. Gillis was an employee of the Archdiocese of Detroit for nearly four decades.
Other survivors include his wife of 53 years, the former Teresa Bandyk; daughters Barbara, Maureen and Anne; sons Raymond, Stephen, Joseph, Leo, Edward and Alan; 19 grandchildren; one sister, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Dec. 4.
The White Stripes is a blues and rock duo from Detroit.

oh no. this is sad. but i kind of like the name gorman. poor jack.
