So has anyone gone out and listened to this amazing group yet or am i still the only one who loves them to bits? The music is god damn amazing and Anneke van Giersbergen has the best female voice in rock.

i used to have mandylion and some other album but i cant remember what its called. from what i remember they were pretty good

I love the album If_Then_Else, and some songs like Strange Machines, Eleanor, etc. But that's about it

i've heard of the Gathering, but I'm in this strange predicament with them. While I respect them as musicians because they're very talented, I can never get into them. If I'm looking for that sort of atmospheric doom sound, I usually go for early 3rd and the Mortal, or As Divine Grace or Skumring. But what the Gathering are doing is very unique and I applaud them for not trying to take an easy way to fame.
