They're this quaint little band that released an album in 2006. But I guess they could never hope to have the same levels of musical genius that nominees The Fray and the John Mayer Trio have. So silly of me to think they might get nominated.

Ah well, I guess Mike & Matt get sort-of recognised for their contribution to that Peter Frampton cover of Black Hole Sun. It's a bit disappointing that a flat-out rehash (as cool as it is) of an existing Grammy-winning song gets recognition, when an album of some really great original compositions is entirely overlooked.

Pearl Jam should have been nominated for bloody something. Maybe not Album of the Year or that kind of shit, but even Best Hard Rock Performance for World Wide Suicide would have been a sensible and deserved nomination. That song is arguably on the same level as Spin The Black Circle.

I like SOAD but I can't understand how Lonely Day is considered worthy of a nomination. There are better songs on Hypnotize itself, never mind elsewhere.
