A representative for the Good Charlotte rocker confirmed that Madden is indeed "single." Earlier, a Chicago Tribune columnist reported that Madden made no effort to hide his newfound singledom last Wednesday at a Windy City club, telling clubgoers that the pop starlet broke up with him nearly ten days prior. Madden, 27, cited their eight-year age difference as the culprit.

Madden made a guest DJ appearance at Enclave on Wednesday night and openly talked about how he is currently single. Madden told clubgoers Duff broke up with him about ten days ago and that their eight-year age difference was causing problems. (Madden is 27, Duff is 19.)
