Jesus & Mary Chain gets Reissued! Rhino has set a July 11 release date for reissues of the first five Jesus & Mary Chain studio albums, which have been out-of-print on CD in the United States for years. The Dual Disc packages feature a remastered version of the album on the audio side, while the DVD side boasts a high-resolution audio mix and three music videos from the era.
JAMC's acclaimed 1985 debut, "Psychocandy," features videos for "Just Like Honey," "Never Understand" and "You Trip Me Up," while its 1987 successor, "Darklands," includes clips for the title cut, "Happy When It Rains" and "April Skies." The videos for 1989's "Automatic" are "Blues From a Gun," "Her Way of Praying" and "Head On," while 1992's "Honey's Dead" rounds up clips for "Almost Gold," "Far Gone and Out" and "Reverence."
The group's last Warner Bros. release, "Stoned and Dethroned," is augmented with videos for "Sometimes Always," "Come On" and "Snakedriver." JAMC disbanded following the 1998 Sub Pop release "Munki."
