Björk Appreciation Thread

This is the place to discuss all things Björk, including pictures etc.

Björk was/is a major influence on me and was the first female artist that I considered to be a "role model" of sorts...I've heard Homogenic an insane amount of times since it's release wore out my first copy to the point that I had to replace it.
I love all of her albums but that one in particular sticks out for me...it's like a censory overload, in a good way. Especially the song "Bachelorette" which I think is just genius.

Vespertine was a very very close second...what a wonderful album.

I also like The Sugarcubes and have their album Life's Too Good, which is very catchy and fun to listen to.

What about everyone else?

resident bjorktard at your service.

debut will always be my favorite which is kind of unheard of among björk fans, but so is everything else about my björk fandom.

medulla would have to be second, and then i guess i love the rest equally maybe.

the sugarcubes are wonderful, though their greatest work is long out of print now. the double 12" singles for "birthday" the second time around are probably my favorite releases of theirs. "birthday" on both - the first contains the original mix as well as live performances of "fucking in rhythm and sorrow", "cowboy", and "coldsweat". the second consists of the christmas mixes of "birthday" done by the jesus and mary chain backed with a live performance of my favorite 'cubes song ever, "take some petrol darling".

people tend to write off kukl and tappi tíkarrass even though both bands were as good as the sugarcubes. the two kukl records are some of the best things she´s ever been involved with.

i suppose i'll stop babbling here and let someone else take over.
