Courtney: Kurt was a 'man's man'
Not the gentle soul he's portrayed as
Nirvana's Kurt Cobain Courtney Love has revealed family life with her late husband Kurt Cobain was at odds with the way he's been portrayed in popular culture, as a sensitive retiring type - going as far as to say the Nirvana rocker knew his way around a car engine.
The singer/songwriter, who is reportedly finishing up her new solo album in California, says Cobain had his fair share of problems, but was a family man and regular Joe much of the time at time.
"He came off fragile, but he was a man's man too - he could fix a car," she tells Jonathan Ross on his chat show.
"He wasn't a fragile girl; he was a man."
