yeah, you're on to something. i'll have to listen a few more times and give it some thought. something is bound to dawn on me.

but everytime i have heard it, when those VIOLINS kick in towards the end......*oh groan and cringe* its just too much. the lyrics, the super expressive singing..overload! it wrecks any potential it had and makes it SOOOO cheesy. it's like screaming 'oh pity, woe is me, look at my tears...waaaaaahhhhh'

uggh, the video is so cheessyyy. I think it's lame. I mean she is obviously taken inspiration from Marilyn Monroe and that 1800's circus aesthetic, but frankly, it's so pretentious it ends up being a mockery.

It's not like when Madonna used to do Marilyn Monroe, or when Blondie did the circus thing for the good boys video, I mean there is no comparisong to that and what Christina is doing.

the first time i heard it, i was like wtf? i wrote that song. years ago. it's totally the harmonies. i did make a song JUST like that, and i don't make original shit. i just subconsciously rip off things i've heard.

yeah, not to mention to glycerine tears and the pained facial expressions.
