My uncle passed away, and I've inherited a large chuck on his portfolio. I was surprised to find he held the rights to Fiona Apple's song "I Know". And it's mine now. I guess if anybody wants to use it in a movie or TV show they have to go through me. I think I'm going to be protective of it though. I can afford to at this point.

This is the only song by anybody he owned. I'd really be interested in finding out how it came into his possession since he had nothing to do with the music industry as far as I know.
Weird. Three years ago I was obsessed with that song. I was working construction in July of 03 or something and it was in my head the entire time.

I'm also the proud new owner of an apartment complex in Van Nuys. Should I be proud? I've never been to Van Nuys. Whatever, all I'm concerned about is the ledger.

I'll be travelling a lot in the next few months, and hanging out in hotels will give me some time to post. I'm off to London next week and then down to California when I get back.

Maybe I'll buy this board and make a few improvements. I doubt it will set me back much at this point.
