So what's the outlook for The Raconteurs?
Jack White has revealed his loyalties are now "divided totally 50/50" between The White Stripes and his new band The Raconteurs.

The guitarist has been touring with The Raconteurs, the band he formed with pal Brendan Benson, for most of the year. But in between promoting their debut album 'Broken Boy Soldiers' he has been working on a new White Stripes record with bandmate Meg White.

He told NME's sister title Uncut: "I have to honestly say that I'm divided totally 50/50 between The Raconteurs and The White Stripes. My brain now has two options for songs that I write, and it's a really nice luxury to have as a songwriter.

"I have so many songs now for another White Stripes record: Meg and I are working on songs during breaks from touring with The Raconteurs."

He had said it before, but this solidified it for me as well. I am very happy because the WS are one of the most exciting bands to me and I would mourn the loss of them. I will see the Raconteurs before the end of this year. NOt as good as a WS show, but I am excited anyway!

I really love them too but I'd still love to see the Racs. I'm hoping they make it out to Australia early next year. Fingers crossed.

I hope it will still be brilliant even if he only uses 50% of his brain.

Maybe I would finally see WS and forgive myself for not doing it last year.
