Over-the-top praise? Perhaps, but I can't think of any other recent band that has come close to matching them in terms of quality.

I've been listening to the A-sides disc from the Mcluskyism compilation, and aside from the two singles from their first album ("Joy" and "Rice is Nice") and "Without MSG I am Nothing" (which wasn't given a proper release due to the band breaking up), it's a remarkably fine run of singles.

What other bands have released half a dozen or more great singles during the same timespan (July 2001 to September 2004)?

Best band of the past 5 years. Period.
