Kasabian Blasts “Moaning” Emo-types

Leicester band Kasabian are the latest to lash out at emo bands and fans, dismissing groups such as My Chemical Romance as “clowns”.

Perhaps put of by the fact that MCR are set to top the UK chart with their single ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’, Kasabian vocalist Tom Meighan told The Sun newspaper, It's all about inflicting self-harm on children. These kids believe they are being rebellious. But they are all just moaning at each other.”

He went on, “It's like ventriloquists' music. It's weird and dark.

They don't have anything positive to say. The only good news is that it won't last. These clowns won't be around for much longer. Their make-up will flake off and the scene will die out. And it can't happen soon enough.”
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno chimed in with some pithy wisdom, stating simply “These emo kids should get out more and try and have a good time.”

i had the chance to see them do a show on pilton playing fields (lol) but i was too lazy to go. nevermind

i saw them last week for the second time and it was a yawn fest. we actually left early, it was so boring.

too bad cos' i hate when a band has a great album but can't pull it off live.
