| | | Raconteurs / pg 4 tour dates So..
It leaked.
Whaddaya think?
It's very Eagles...
It's very obvious why Jack couldn't have done it with the White Stripes...
I don't know if I love it, but I do know I like it.

| | | I like the record a lot. It ain't White Stripes but it's good. I saw them live a couple of days ago and most songs seem to work well live.

| | I think the album turned out pretty well. It's a nice "it's summer and I'm driving around in my car" record - "Steady as she goes" is my favorite song off the album! |

| | | I like what I have heard thusfar. I really do like Brendan's stuff. I don't hear the Eagles. ( But I am not an Eagles fan.) I would love to see them live but there is no way I am going to a festival.

| | | It's never going to be the White Stripes but Jack has promised the White Stripes aren't over anyway. I like it but then again I'm a Jack White nut! |

| | The Raconteurs don't even have a record out, but they're already being forced to change their name — at least in Australia. From now on, Jack White's new foursome will go by the Saboteurs Down Under, after it was discovered that an Aussie jazz band had already laid claim to the Raconteur handle. Reps for White confirmed the name change, and in a statement, the White Stripes frontman said the decision was made "in the spirit of espionage and subversion." Whatever you call the band, its debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, will hit stores May 16. ... http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/152...headlines=true

I just expected something better. I LOVE steady as she goes and store bought bones; I wish the whole record was as good as those two.

Too bad cameras weren't allowed though because they had great lighting at the show.

| | | I like Brendan Benson but I don't really like the songs he sings on this album, except Hands. Maybe they're growers though.
There's a really good live BBC TV performance of Intimate Secretary on YouTube. I think that sounds a million times better than the album version. |

| | | I think I at least like every song on this album...but I don't think it's like my favorite ever album. Brendan's voice is a little "blah" at times, but otherwise i like it. Most of the songs do sound quite different from steady as she goes/store bought bones.
I think it's pretty good all in all though, but I don't feel the need to purchase it after hearing the leaked version. |
