cletusIII will become famous soon enough
When is it okay to start talking about the next Madonna album?

Does the last one have to be a year old or totally milked of its singles first?

Maybe I should wait until there's some actual news to report, but that could be a year or so.
She hasn't mentioned if she'll be starting work on new music has she?

I'm a little worried that Confessions came out so quickly because she had to recover from American Life. And she has. She's undisputably a big fucking deal again. Now she can take her time with the next one.

Even for somebody who claims to hate rest, since 2000 she's done more than a lot of artists do in their entire career. Three studio albums, three big tours, a bunch of kids books, a movie (shitty movies are still hard work).

If she sticks to her current schedule though, the next one will be out around 2008. Ten years since Ray of Light. When the fuck did all this time pass?

I hope she doesn't make the rock album she was rumoured to be making last time. Ever.

I think it's likely to see a Madonna album in late 2007. And it's never to early to talk about an artist's new album, although I'm not a huge fan of Madonna, I do love American Life.

she started writing it on the Confessions tour.

I hope it's a dance rock album, like the demo of I Love New York. I just loved that sound, it was so cool and she can totally pull it off.

I think that should be the new direction. Besides, it's not like she hasn't done rock before, Burning Up is 100% New Wave Rock with a pop twist, and we all have seen how she can rock out live.

I didn't like Confessions, it was too dance-y. I would definately like it if she went in a more acoustic direction or sometihng like the Headcleanr version of the American Life song.

that version is so amazing.

But what are you talking about? too dance-y? that was the point. Madonna has always been about dance. I loved Confessions, it could've been even dancier. But I also love I Love New York the rock version.
