It's not the cost.
Example : I just can't find the original
Porcupine by Echo & the Bunnymen. So I bought the Remastered and Expanded version for 23$. I'm sure the price would have been the same if it would not have been the expanded version.
I just don't need bonus tracks, they bore me. For me, an album is art (concept album or not). I just want the album as it was originally released and sometimes it's hard to find. I bought
Entertainment by Gang Of Four on Amazon and I didn't choose the bonus tracks version... But I received the bonus tracks version.

I'll choose the one that contains no bonus tracks even if it's the same price lol. But usually, the record stores only sell the one with bonus tracks.
