My dad is retired, but still needs like a routine. He walks his dog in the morning, goes get's a paper and coffee. But he really needs some thing to keep him busy a few days a week. He doesnt need money, so doesnt really need a job. I wanted some idea's that of either; friendly & enjoyable places you seen older volenteer's work at? or some organizations I should check out? I am already gonna check in the kennels here to see if they need like "dog walker's" or whatever....It's just him & my Mom & she still works , but nights (when my dad is asleep pretty much). Any idea's?

Well, it really does depend to some degree on what he's interested in/good at, etc. VolunteerMatch is a searchable database of volunteer opportunities. I update information about my agency's mentoring program (they make you update every so often, even if nothing changes, which means that hopefully everything should be current), so I know that one of the things they ask is if it's good for seniors. So I bet you could actually search by that, as well as by location and interests.
