Do you ever call in sick for work?

I've never had a sick day in the two years i have been in my job, where as my friend as had her job since around christmas time and forever seems to be calling in sick, maybe 2-3 times a month, she only works 3 days a week at the very most! They're mostly self inflicted hangovers

Anyway, today i feel terrible and want to call in sick but i'll feel really gulity because i know i'll be messing alot of people around at really short notice. i'm hoping that it won't be too busy and i'll be allowed go home early.

With such a good track record, it shouldn't be a problem
I have "sick" days around every 2 months. I usually have 2 days off just to make it seem more authentic.

if your sick record is good then I wouldnt worry about it. I call in sick when i want a day off to see a band in london or something, I still get sick pay and so I tend not to worry about it. If you are ill then its better that you rest and get well again.

sometimes i wish i could, but then i'd have to work long hours the next day to catch up so i never call in sick

i've been pretty bad about it before, but i'm trying to improve. not really because of my current job, but because i need to prove to myself that i can be responsible and diciplined if i want to.

(after years of being a completely irresponsible slacker i'm kind of starting to doubt my ability to do anything seriously. CAN i really get my shit together anymore? time will tell.)
