Now feminist girl has introduced her friend, who also seems fun. More fun than the Dutch girl who has kind of left her househunt up to us even though we don't really know her and she's only here for a year, while we're here for 2+? But looking for a 4 bed house is HARD..

I tried to carefully suggest the two I like best & I got the nice house, but I think they are too scared of looking mean. Maybe I am just a *****...but househunting is a cut-throat business!!

I viewed three 4 bed houses today and they were all horrible. At the end of the day I was very glad to go back to my lovely room at my parents' beautiful house

I have just emailed the organisers of the conference I was meant to be going to in London next weekend to say I can't go, and ask if I can have my £40 fee back. The arrangement I had with the friend who was putting me up fell through, and this househunting is a bit more urgent than going a'conferencing.

It is going really well! My housemates are nice, relaxed, not stressful to be around, we have similar standards of tidiness, eat together all the time and share most of our food. Our living room is currently full of sign-making equipment for protesting at the Tory party conference this weekend.

The house and the area it's in are also great, lots of wholefood shops, cafes and other useful places, near two big parks. We have a spare single room that we're hoping to use for hosting couchsurfers (so if anyone from KR is visiting Sheffield..). The only negative is that we live up a huge hill and I'm a bit worried we'll be trapped by ice in winter, but that is far off for now.

Scrolling back up this thread, I was pretty stressed about the whole thing a few weeks ago. I am so glad it has all worked out

Yay! So all four of you managed to find a 5 bedroom? Shocking! SHOCKING, I SAY! That's downright fantastic! Enjoy your protesting.
