yeah i am not certain the BIG TURNY OFFY tap doesn't turny offy the water for the rest of the people who live in the same complex as me.

discrete isolation valves like that pic are sometimes put in each apartment as well as the big turny offy taps, just so plumbers don't have to turn off the whole building. sometimes they are all over the place.

if you care to, you may follow the pipe back and see, there might be one, unless you have to rip out furniture to get to it

it is now the middle of the night, and although i felt sort of excellent when i was prowling around outside my building a few hours earlier, in the rain, with what could be construed as house breaking implements, looking for the taps to turn off to try and fix the tap, i now think it is unwise to do it. plus i think the taps are different in british english than they are in australian english, youknow

hmmm well i have no idea about this hot water on plants bizness. you could leave the bucket out on the sidewalk for stray dogs. hahaha
