phoning in sick for work

On thursday I am phoning in sick for friday and saturday shifts at my work because Im going to see NIN and I didnt get the time off from work. I have a good excuse to use but I worry I will get caught and I feel quite guilty over the matter.

does anyone else feel bad for phoning in sick? Have you ever regretted doing so and did you get caught out?

So, you asked for the time off and didn't get it? Don't you think they'll be a bit suspicious when you're suddenly struck down ill on the days that you originally wanted off?

If you asked for the time off already, you've left yourself wide open for a shafting. Turn up, pretend you've got something wrong, then get sent home early, i think that usually doesn't count as a sickie either. I've used excuses from my contact lenses ripping to having a bad case of the shits from not cooking my dinner properly :P
