just wondering.

i'm terrified of flying but really want to go travelling one day. maybe in the summer with friends.

has anybody had any bad experiences flying?
good experiences?

if you are scared/were scared - what have you done to get over being scared of it? (& im not just talking pills)

oh and which part of flying do you hate the most/like the most?

I've never been scared of flying. Just think how many thousand of flights go off every day without a hitch. It's probably safer than being in a car.

i know, i guess i'm so terrified because if something does go wrong on a flight, well, yeah, you're sort of destined to be dead meat..

what's the longest flight you've ever been on?

Things wouldn't look so great if you were in a train crash either I know fears are often irrational, but planes really are very safe. People wouldn't risk their lives riding on them if they weren't.

I haven't been on long flights. I've never been out of Europe. Maybe 2 hours? You barely even know you're in the air. It's a lot smoother than driving. I love flying

Haha yeah i know, it is totally irrational. i suppose we take risks everyday that are probably worse anyway. the whole idea of a plane in the sky kinda freaks me out a little bit too i suppose.

last time i was forced on a plane it was for four hours and the drugs didnt work on the way back, my god i really did shit myself

so yeah, that was not reassuring at all
