if you feel youve totally lost interest in your job, and prior to this you were really involved and kind of obsessed with it, how do you get that back? even if it is just a fraction of that enthusiasm

its important for me to have an active interest in what im doing, otherwise i find it hard to keep going day after day. im no good with sticking things out that have no merit in the present

if you dont financially need the job at the moment and feel that you can get a new job then you should go.
you cant put a price of happiness and omg misery costs alot goff.

maybe tell your boss(es) how you feel and they can give you new projects to invigorate things.

You should at wait until all the free xmas drinks/lunches/parties have been taken advantage of before deciding to leave, and by the time it all finishes, your motivation may return. If you do decide to leave, at least you've been able to get free alcohol from them.

use up all your annual leave up until that time. And don't lie to yourself, everyone needs alcohol.
