are they that different?? i don't know much about those sort of subjects, but if they are quite similiar you could write a personal statement for one and then edit it if you change your mind.

i guess, but until i know which i don't know where to apply to, the difference basically is that social psychology is a branch of pyschology whereas sociology is a totally different subject - it's about society and stuff.

ah right, i see how that complicates things. i hate how my personal statement sounds like i am totally up myself. i want it to have a shorter catchier first sentence, and i don't think it makes me sound individual enough. apart from that i don't know what to do to it.

oh also, people tend to quote authors and stuff in theirs, but i really don't have anything like that to put in... is it worth me finding something??

you send them as part of your university applications, you have to sell yourself in a few hundred words basically.
