its like a secondry school
i hated it SO much
it was just full of 'kids' smoking in groups, at the gates at the reception, haging outside doors and everyone was HORRIBLY chavvy, and i dont mean because they wernt crazy and alternative, they were gross spitty obnoxious rude mouth scary chav of ghetto boys and girls, it was so horrible
i dont really know what to do, they all seemed SO intimidating........... there college i go to is in the centre of the city and its so lovely there, everyone tried to get on and its so casual, no one hangs around because theyre in town and most just know what theyre there for.......... but here it was like going back to school
its right out of the city and really seems it too

i think it also had something to do with the fact that i was in the btech block as opposed to the A level block where its alot more academic
argh im just so upset
i have been SO excited about floristy and the place had completly let me down...

i'm in college and it sounds abit like that, more of a secondary school (they call themselves 2 1/2 level ) lots of people smokin and lookin a bit rough, but once you get to actually know the people i'm sure they'll be lovely.

on a course i did before there were three "chav-ish" types, who when i first saw i didn't think i would be friendly with, but once i started talking with them, they were really sound.

the people in my class are fine, when i said chav i meant more of ghettoboys and girls spitting and shouting at people
my other college is great and there are lots of different mixes of people but everyone seems to get along
here its just horrible
i will just stay in the class room the whole time

I know how you feel, they're all ghetto kids where I just started, many of them are loud and you know, "whoooah, yo were gonna talk about pointless things all day!".
Me I'm there to study and get the stuff i need to do done. At first I felt like 'oh god, no!' but, now i'm glad i don't know people there, because it means I can consentrate on school and get things done, so it works out for me even though i was a bit dissapointed i couldnt make new friends.
I refuse to eat alone though, so i wander off on my own instead, but hopefully a good friend of mine will start the same place soon.
Feeling stressed out by other students when you're taking classes can get in the way. But I hope it will work out miss_scarlet, good luck!

i think thats all that really matters, if the people you send the most time with are grand! i don't really have much interaction with any other courses, just passing them in the hall or in the canteen.

but as long as the others arn't doing anything to you personally to try and intimdate you, i'd just ignore it and try to get along. And as the year goes on and if they stay in college (alot will prob drop out) they'll become more mature aswell.....hopefully.
i'm doing montessori teaching and i love it!
i had been in the same college previously to do secretarial studies but i went back to do something i think im more suited to!

how's the actual course goin besides all this?
