this may have been posted before, havent been here much lately, thought some of would find it of interest there are a heap of bettie fans here im sure.
funnily enough its a 2003 photograph but for ages on the bettie page board its been a matter of nothings been seen since 1957.
not bad at all for 80, very strange for me as i have two bettie page tatts and she was always sort of iconic for me in the way that james dean is (you know, dead and iconic haha as she pretty much as been to the public eye) and now you see a picture and i dunno. its weird. i mean shes wearing flannel. one of THE most cutting edge women of the fifties is wearing flannel. (yeah i get the pjama thing)
its funny how somone can be so famous and get pretty much nothing out of it.
please someone tell me do producers have to buy rights to peoples stories? ie. notorious bettie page? if theyre using names and all?
or is it a free for all?
i always sort of wondered because of that movie "velvet goldmine" with tony collette and christain bale that was very obviously about bowie and iggy pop but they changed names and pretty much created a version of events, however bullshit.
we havent got NBP in oz yet so is it a bullshit airy fairy thing or a 'this is what happened' sort of scenario.
