Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston are engaged - it has been claimed.
The 'Swingers' actor reportedly popped the question to the former 'Friends' star on June 27, while onboard a private plane taking them back to Los Angeles after a romantic holiday in Mexico.
A friend told America's Us Weekly: "They're engaged.
"Vince almost cries whenever he tells the story of the proposal."
The 36-year-old actor was apparently desperate to get down on one knee before he started shooting
new film 'Into the Wild' in South Dakota.
The friend added: "Vaughn was going to propose on the beach during the trip, but he chickened out because he wasn't sure if she would accept.
"He knew he was leaving town for a while, so he just felt he had to ask her before they landed."
The news comes just a week after it was reported the couple had broken up. Rumours started circulating after they arrived separately to the Sydney premiere of their
film 'The Break-Up', and a series of articles were published claiming Aniston was still not over her ex-husband Brad Pitt.
According to American NW magazine Aniston initiated the split because she didn't feel Vaughn was the "marrying kind".
