How noblesse oblige. Yes, pity the slaves and the "poor"; it's easy since you can (probably) secretly feel superior to them anyway. But an uppity female with the, err, wealth to get into a nightclub AND the temerity to actually get drunk?! Let's unite in dismissive contempt towards such stupid people.

The cavalier attitude you have about this guy is quite a contrast to the judgemental language you reserve for young women who go out and get drunk (and are probably on drugs too); girls under the influence of God knows what, with seriously impaired judgement and deliberately sought out by him for that reason.

I mean yeah, apparently many of the girls are not victims, do not see themselves as victims but are rather very willing patsies and total dills. This guy gets rich from them; they get a tee-shirt? "GIRLS GONE WILD" ought to be , "I STARRED IN SOFT PORN AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS CRAPPY TEE SHIRT".

Some of what he gets the girls to do sounds benign enough (girl flashes her tits cheerfully for the camera for instance), but the description (in recalcitrant's 4th post) of what happened to that one particular girl, the alleged virgin, sounded nasty ~ very nasty indeed. Reading that I thought he sounded like a cynical, callous two~bit creep and I felt very sorry for that girl because, well, just because.
Haven't you ever been out, drunk and merry and been set upon by a really pushy guy, only to wind up in some bizarre, depressing, sordid situation of a sexual nature? Something you've desperately regretted later and wished you'd never let yourself in for to begin with?

I'd like to make it clear that my tongue was very much inside my cheek for the bulk of this thread.

But I still can't feel particularly bad about people being exploited when they blatantly allow it. And yes, I have been taken advatnage of when I've been drunk and done stuff I regretted. But I'm smart enough to know the risks of getting hammered, so if something like that happens, I'm willing to accept the consequences because I know the world is how it is and that drinking alcohol is basically just a chemical way of willingly making yourself dumber. It doesn't happen so much now because I learned from my mistakes, and I think that's how it has to work; I don't think you can know how far you can comfortably go in terms of giving up control until you actually go further once or twice.

I dunno where I'm going with this. I guess I'm trying to say that I get to be disdainful because, while I've done stuff I've regretted, I know that it's because I was too drunk to know what I was doing and that I shouldn't have gotten myself into that state in the first place. Why should someone else have to guess whether your consent is solely because of the drink or not? That's not in any way to say that Joe Francis isn't a sleazeball, but there's a lot he'll get accused of which I don't think he can really be blamed for, and I wouldn't want that to detract from how much of a douche he definitely really is.

Classic type whom thinks that women are stupid because he is so much "smarter" because he has the ability to manipulate them...and then gets scared when his tactics don't work and starts to threaten them to try and re-gain his control.

If he weren't so famous I have no doubts he would be even more violent and disgusting.
