so apparently this is the backstory:

and scarlett openly talked about it in an interview, apparently, i saw it posted on ontd when this started but i can't find it now!
she said how they invited her for dinner and that there were all these scientology people and that at some point it was clear to her that they were auditioning her to be his wife and she was like 'hell no' and left.

you can't leave, you sign a billion year contract. not j/k.

i've been to the celebrity center scientology place on Franklin ave., for tea & pastry. my friend talked me into it & i was curious, as i lived across the street from it.

the young waitress was hypnotized or sth, into thinking she couldn't leave, i think. i was wearing a scarf & she said "i love those colors. i used to wear colors." so sad, she seemed defeated. & was wearing that blue unisex uniform of theirs.

i remember back in the day, they had a so-called drug rehab where they made everyone shave their head (or maybe that was for punishment), married couples were separated, it was insane. called narconon. an attorney representing one of the victims had a poisenous snake put in his mailbox.

& they're everywhere. up the street up from me is a center.

You can, but it's like a super extreme version of what JWs do, if you have known any JWs. Like, hardcore cut off 100%, you are dead and never existed in the first place.
