I've never understood the dismissal of her performance in The People vs. Larry Flynt simply because she was a junkie stripper in real life. Experience doesn't automatically translate to an impressive performance.

That's like saying anybody who has ever been in love can do a good job singing a love song. It doesn't work that way.

And even her less than stellar projects (America's Sweetheart, Nobody's Daughter, Dirty Blond) are more than a lot of people accomplish. Even the worst of them generated more interest than Frances little art show.

I'd also say that Celebrity Skin is a pretty good piece of work. Get back to me when Frances accomplishes something that strong in her medium of choice.

i can name quite a few bands that have accomplished way more than what courtney has ever done. hmm lets go with her favorite man, michael stipe or bono from u2. they have accomplished a lot more than her. in fact doesnt bono still tour? and what does courtney do? go to fashion shows and not eat.
