I remember being disappointed with the song because I was expecting a studio version of the other 'Life Despite God' which people call 'Chris Classic'. So when I heard her howling like that I was like WTF?

I do like the song though.

I hate 'Almost Golden' (i think i'm in the minority though), 'I'll Do Anything', 'Hello', and 'Zeplin Song'. I think the rest of the songs could have been good had the production and arrangements been better.

But that doesn't really mean anything, the lyrics to Sunset Strip and Mono aren't right.

Didn't the "Chris Classic" song just turn out to be, not "Life Despite God" but a nameless demo song.?

No because Courtney said in an article the song "Life Despite God" is a song where she's talking about planes crashing and how it was a vision of 9/11 and e.t.c.

The "Life Despite God" on the album isn't its title. That song is "Evil Woman Blues/The Plague". I think it's a misprint.

I could've SWORN I read somewhere that the Chris Classic was just some nameless demo....probably from someone unreliable.
I'm sure there's a studio verison of the real 'Life Despite God' hidden somewhere in Virgin's vault. I bet it's pretty fucking amazing too.
