He was "dating" one 15 yr-old Nastasia Kinski at about the same time this happened right out in the open in Europe, but it wasn't looked down upon back then, or that's what I read anyways. and i agree...there were probably plenty more where this came from.
I really do get the whole "leave the victim alone" thing. more than you can imagine. but when i read the transcripts re: what he actually DID to her, it disgusted me as well. it's a bad situation. justice was not served.
my best case scenario is that they could sentence him using the evidence they already CONVICTED him with, the evidence that was fresh at the time. i mean, no retrial is necessary. and what can ya do with 30 year-old recollection testimony anyways? I would fight that one to the ends of the earth if i was her atty.
