TROUBLED singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly been dashed to hospital after collapsing on the island of St Lucia.

Sources say the 25-year-old drug addict was "a shaking mess" as she was rushed to receive medical care.

A source told British newspaper The Sun: "She looked in a terrible state, a shaking mess. The people with her were very concerned.”

The Sun also reports the star, who is battling addiction to heroin and cocaine, had been drinking heavily during the vacation.

A spokesperson for Winehouse confirmed to Perezhilton.com the troubled star had been taken to hospital after running out of a drug replacement she had been taking.

Winehouse was said to be doing well, and is expected to be discharged from hospital soon.

she is such an idiot. If I had the things that she has, the talent, the recognition, the love I would be so inmensily happy.

It's so weird, how I can feel that she has everything yet she must feel that she hasn't, and is just throwing it all away.

It makes me wonder what does she want?? why did she start a career in the first place??

I don't like it the way they call her a drug addict so bluntly.

I can't believe she's only 25... She looks at least ten years older?

to be honest, all this time, i never realized she was that young.
