Peaches Geldof Divorcing After 96 Days

"Wild child Peaches Geldof is dumping rocker hubby Max Drummey after 96 days of marriage.

Peaches, 19, and Max, 24, shocked friends and family when they got hitched in Vegas on August 5.

A source explains, "She realised it was all a mistake - and her dad Sir Bob is delighted."

"She doesn't fancy him any more, and wants to move on. To her it is as simple as that. She just wants to divorce him and find a new boyfriend."

Well, that's how you roll when you're 19.

Even Peaches saw the writing on the wall and didn't expect the marriage to last.

She said three weeks ago, "I didn't go into it with Max thinking, 'This is going to last forever'."

"But I did go in thinking, 'I love him right now and I know I will continue to love him for a long while'."

"Long" being less than a month.

Peaches hasn't had a very peachy year - she was videotaped buying drugs from Amy Winehouse's drug dealer this spring and suffered a drug overdose in July.

Last week she was caught leaving a trendy boutique without paying for the clothes - the fourth time she's been involved in a little shoplifting "misunderstanding".

After her scandal-filled year, Peaches was hoping to get away from it all by marrying Max.

The source adds, "Her drug use had been exposed in public and she wanted a new life. She saw Max and New York as her way to escape."

Maybe Max can move on another famous rock star daughter named after fruit.
