| | | Sleazy busts of 2 former child stars Oprah interviewed child star number one product of tv actress in the sixties Joanna Moore and Ryan ONeal. She was a kid in the cute Paper Moon that was spun into a series with Jodie Foster. She later became a Tv star before marrying John McEnroe famed tennis star and pretty much retired. In her book "A Paper Life" which I left in Antalaya Turkey she says she started her habit deep with a famous grunge star but never names.
On Oprah she talked about how sleazy she felt as a 44 year old mother scoring dope on the streets. She said that a few times, about how skeezy the now washed up and overly skinny actress is. I swear she was high as a kite on Oprah (Oprah is into Scientogloy and dlabbles in it so may get Tatum clean...)
Another star who VH1 is depsepratly trying to get into the next installment of Celeb Rehab and have her come in mid season is product of of Mamas and Papas John Phillips ( Bijou and Chynna are half sisiters from the only remaining living Mama and Papa Michelle Phillips) Mackenzie Phillips who started out in American Graffiti filmed in two towns, one in which I currently live in spawned alot of Stars, Richard Dryfuss, Suzanne Summers, Cindy Williams and others.
Before her recent bust at an airport and after years of doing various sints with the Disney Channel which she did up to the bust she got busted at the airport with herion and high grade cocaine. Disney Channel arent too happy now. Her last major gig before the was the long running One Day At A Time sitcom and she got fired from that in 1980. Celeb Rehan wants her bad the aritcle in the Enquirer said. They said something to the effect of due to her face value she would draw in alot of viewers to Celb rehab. Lets hope she does it. I guess even though Tatum and Mackenzie have claimed they were clean for years they never really have been. Its a hrd habit to kick. Lets send good vibes their way.
One time The Coasters?Drifters and Mamas and Papas ressurection was going to play in a local gymnaSUim. The Phillips wanted to bring back small time concets in gymnasuims. Spanky MCfrarland grandughter of OUr Gang guy who had a few hits in the sixites would be Mama Cass Mackenzie was going to be her step Mom Michelle and the guys were going to stay the same; They ended up in rehab the week they were going to play and alot of people didnt know it and were pissed. I felt sorry for classic band Spanky and Our Gang who replaced Mamas and Papas. I guess they had carted off father and dughter Phillips to rehab. Ive never seen people boo and so pissed, it was in the paper and besides Spanky was a well known group albiet only a few hits at the time.
Lets hope both can live with the addictions with out the ramifications rearing its heads or get clean which is much harder. |

| | | I've never seen Paper Moon but Little Darlings is an awesome movie (I think the general crowd here at kittyradio would appreciate it) . Tatum is fuckin awesome in Rescue Me as well. Her character Maggie is so evil and hilarious and I love her scenes with Denis Leary. Has anyone read her book? I'd like to.
I never saw One Day at a Time. I saw Mackenzie on a lot of talk shows in the 90's though and on 90210. It sucks that her career didn't pick up very much after One Day at a Time. She seemed like she was clean for a long time though. Most addicts/alcoholics slip at one point or another, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of, I just hope she gets help.
I genuinely do feel bad for both and hope they get better. |

| | | Tatum and Mackenzie Paper Moon is a great story. If you have ever read Tatums autobigrahy, I did and left it in Turkey when I was done, it tells you the history of Paper Moon and its ill fated follow up movie which I forget if it was a sequel or not.
Paper Moon was a book written taking place in the deep south but was changed when the film filmed in black and white and parts of Kansas and Missouri I think were used. It was great cinemotaprhgy, it had the legendary Medeline Kahn in it and a poignant role played by a black woman who is Madeline Kahns "servant" It starts out with little Tatum and her real life father selling bibles from door to door that they found out of obituary ads and had the person that died hand printed on the bible then people couldnt refuse. Its a great movie and pales in comparsion to coming of age movie Lil Darlings.
Yeah and Makenzie I hope she gets better. Her looks were better before she got into drugs even more after the show ended.
I liked them both, I like that they both possess a nervous energy to them and bask in there starlite. Its thier lives. It said in The Globe USA that Mackenzie turned over her drugs right away at the airport and said they were for her sickness and redily handed the x ray people her high grade coke and grade a smack. Lets hope we see her on Celeb Rehab, I would like to see her start a talk show though that interacts with the addueince like Oprah and Donahue used to do, tackinly tough subjects like mortage meltdown victims, drug addicts, teen abortions etc. I would like to see that for Mackenzies next move in life and get a TV deal doing that.
Tatum I see still doing a wonderful job on Rescue Me and also did a show called Wicked Games a coulple of years ago and I Tivoed every episode it was such an enthralling two month daily miniseries. Kudos to Tatum for that acting too!!! |
